TerraFly Tools Highlight

TerraFly, A Big Data Platform

TerraFly is a geospatial big data platform that delivers cost-effective, easy-to-use solutions and applications. Instead of just offering static imagery, our visualization component offers the ability of virtual “flight” over areas that are overlaid with georeferenced data. Our data drill-down/querying component allows users to easily explore geospatial data, create queries, and get insight supported by high-performance multi-dimensional search mechanisms. We combine these two components to provide awesome dynamic interactions with maps and versatile data analysis tools for powerful business intelligence.

TerraFly is accessible, flexible and portable:

  • Web-based solutions with access via any standard web browser
  • Mobile Interfaces for intelligence on the go
  • Offline Maps layered with data for extra portability
  • API allows for quick solution deployment
  • No extensive geospatial info system knowledge needed
  • No lengthy training programs
  • Easy to use

TerraFly

Spatio-Temporal Tools

TerraFly spatio-temporal tools allow users to take a journey through the visual and data history of an area. One such tool is Time Series, a tool that enhances TerraFly maps by showing archived satellite or aerial imagery of a selected area. This tool allows users to gain insight into the development of an area, how its landscape has changed, and the impact humans or the environment had. These spatio-temporal tools have been applied in solutions for industries ranging from hydrology to real estate as well as applied to solutions to track boats, road vehicles and incidents.

TerraFly

Point Data and Geocoding

TerraFly’s Geocoder can quickly translate massive databases of addresses to coordinates and vice versa for data mining and proximity searches. When using TerraFly maps, double clicking on point on the map takes the user to another tool, the PointData page. This page contains vast amounts of information, or more specific information depending on customization, about this point and its surrounding area while providing queryable fields for drawing more understanding. The Geocoder and PointData page along with other tools are part of TerraFly’s powerful drill-down/querying engine.

TerraFly

Object Tracking Tools

TerraFly has the tools to map out object routes, trajectories, speeds, altitudes and positions. These tools have been used in different applications for tracking planes, boats, vehicles and other forms of transports. TerraFly’s Video Tracking application takes advantage of these tools by allowing the user to easily access, manage, analyze, and upload multiple georeferenced videos. the application shows the user the video and its route, along with other information, while allowing the user to use TerraFly maps other functions. These tools and its applications are great for efficient fleet/asset management and analysis.

TerraFly

ALTA Balloons

TerraFly’s partnership with ALTA presents users with the power of autonomous, lighter-than-air, image/sensing system that is silent and is comprised of tethered or drifting balloons that are low cost, quick to deploy, last longer in the air and do not need a pilot’s license, airport access or extensive training. These balloons deliver powerful oblique imagery, video and data from a multitude of sensors and cameras. These balloon systems can be deployed almost anywhere and its low cost makes multiple systems being deployed within an area more practical. TerALTA is the combination of these balloon systems with TerraFly’s platform and is used to deliver a unique fusion of data and imagery to drive new insight.

Who are we:

TerraFly is an off shoot of a $55 million Government funded research & development (NSF University-Industry Cooperative Initiative with Florida International University, FIU). Dr. Naphtali Rishe, the founder and inventor of TerraFly, is the President of NOA, Inc. |DBA| TerraFly, Inc. The commercial entity is also funded by NSF.

TerraFly was selected as one of the three projects, out of 53,000 to appear on the cover page of NSF 2014 Compendium and presented to the Congress. Additional information is available upon request.
